Creativity sneeze (essence of pain) ACHOW!

Winter’s wind howls through the trees and rattles the panes of an old window on an older house. A draft flows through the window barely heeded by an old man wearing a robe and sitting in a large padded chair. The man, weary from a lifetime of hard work, flips the pages of a book in his lap, pausing every once in a while to read one, and cut it from the book with a pair of scissors, and drop the page into a fire. As he does this, the room brightens a little with an orange glow, giving the impression that it might be warm.
The man flips a page, cuts with the metallic sound of shears closing, and drops it to be engulfed by the flame.
The glass rattles in its’ frame, and the man turns his head exposing a cheek hiding behind a façade of wrinkles and spots. He lifts hands with long fingers that might once have been aristocratic and looks at the thin bloodless skin pulled tight over bones and tendons. After a moment, he curls them around each other, brings them to his mouth, and exhales into them. His breath passes through them to condense into steam and he drops them back to their task, momentarily warmed.
He picks the book up off of his lap, reopens it, and reads a page.

Just basically a lot of work. Just finished my essay to get into college yesturday and now I'm going to be applying to UMO and USM.
Your hair is very long, and you're quite tall. I also got to see Marcus! That was weird. I'm surprised he remembers me.

hah! thanks for the comment. But the thing is, the L.A. area is the ugly part of california. You want to check out northern california (where I'm originally from).
